Inter- Company Benchmarking
HR organisations in corporate groups make numerous efforts to increase efficiency and added value.
Since the aim of these measures is a group-wide excellent personnel management, the individual measures must be co-ordinated on the group level. Otherwise, potentials will be wasted, and measures lead to merely localised improvements instead of an overall improvement.
One formula for success in the implementation of group-wide improvement or transformation projects lies in the concentration on two major co-ordination functions:
Grading: Without encroaching upon the competences held by the de-centralised HR organisations, a corporate group must be able to create neutral, widely-accepted transparency in the performance capacity of the individual HR organisations – and thereby create the necessary pressure for action to promote de-centralised improvements.
Management: At the same time, the corporate group must be able to monitor and manage the success of the de-centrally implemented measures over a longer period of time – by non-bureaucratic means.
